Exile is a drama series created by Paul Abbott and written by Danny Brocklehurst. The show is a psychological thriller that tells an intimate story of prodigal redemption. Tom Ronstadt lives in London where he works as a journalist who discovers his world falling apart and it's all his own fault. He decides to return to his hometown in Lancashire having left their 18 years ago. After returning home, he finds out that his father is suffering with Alzheimer's and being cared for by his sister. Tom looks back at the reasons what caused him to leave home 18 years ago.

Episode 1
Tom Ronstadt returns to his childhood home in Lancashire after having been 18 away for the past eighteen years. He wants to discover the truth behind the incident that caused him to leave. His dad Sam holds the key to discovering the truth but he has been suffering with Alzheimer's disease. Tom finds it hard to slip backinto his old life with his family and former friends and he remebembers a name from the past and rnds up realising that his father's secret could be much more serious than he thought.
